The Blues Jam is in full-swing and happens every Wednesday night at Proud Mary's (located at the Ramada Inn: 5500 Kearny Mesa Road, 92111) from 6 to 9pm. Every Shade of Blue host Janine Harty guides the jam and each week she features special guests. So, dust off your instruments and plan to attend! James “Mojo” Reed, 11/27- No Jam (Happy Thanksgiving).

J Otis Williams, Phil Warren here. Earlier this past year, Ken Borgers and I talked about the radio station doing something to celebrate Tom Cat Courtney's 90th(?) birthday this January at Proud Mary's. My idea was to broadcast his birthday party live or use it as some sort of promotion. As you probably know, some great blues musicians show up for this party. Let me know what you think.
