Sounds of the Season-2024!

Happy Holidays! As always, KSDS will be airing its annual 'Sounds of the Season' programming which begins at Noon on Christmas Eve day. You can be a part of the programming. For any online pledge of $100 (or more) you can create a customized greeting that will air on KSDS. Previously unheard Bird’s the word this Wednesday evening on Jazz Across America: Kansas City with Sam Wisman.

Tune in Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. PT for a special edition of “Jazz Across America: Kansas City.” Host Sam Wisman will be dedicating his weekly Kansas City-based program to one of the most historically significant archival jazz finds and reclamation projects in recent memory.

Jazz at Tio Leo's

Holly Hofmann's jazz series continues this month at Tio Leo's Restaurant and Lounge at 5302 Napa St. at Morena Blvd. Jazz at Tio Leo's is happening every Sunday evening from 5-7pm and features Southern California's finest jazz musicians in a quiet, spacious setting with full bar and Mexican cuisine. As we approach Thanksgiving, I feel compelled to share my abundant gratitude for all the great new music that’s come out this past year, and especially this past six months since I began hosting Breaking Jazz (Sundays, 6:30 to 8 p.m. PT). In keeping with year-end traditions, this gratitude will take the form of a “best of” list. But this particular list is exciting because it will be starting a new tradition. Behold!
